The NWPA follows the contest rules issued by WGI for the current competitive year.  Some additional policies & rules are in place which pertain to non-national classes and allow for localized governance of NWPA contests.

Financial
All Dues and Fees shall be paid in U.S. funds.
All Dues and Fees must be paid by January 1st to retain Draw priviliges.
All Show Entrance Fees must be paid 14 days prior to the event in order to participate.
Dues & Entry Fees are non-refundable, unless due to a show cancellation.

No new registrations will be accepted after the last day of February.

Show Sign-up Process
The Registration Form is available in the fall.
Contest Order is based on draw at the Fall meeting and then postmark of payment, starting from the Fall Meeting.

Contests 
Contest dates shall be awarded based on the number of years the show has been held and its success. The Board of Directors will have the final say in these matters.

Unit Registration Forms will be available in the fall season online. A unit should check the shows they will attend and bring this form & fees to the Fall Meeting. Order of Performance is based from draw at the Fall Meeting and then postmark date on the paid fee and application.

An independent tabulator will be provided by the NWPA.

A Sound Technician will be provided by the NWPA. The NWPA will provide a sound system, CD player and inputs for iPod or mp3 player.

Grand Championships will be a Single Show contest. It will be held prior to the Winter Guard International Championships as the last contest of the season. It is run by a member guard, to rotate amongst interested parties on an annual basis. The Show Host shall provide all volunteers.

Each Guard must participate in two rounds of NWPA competition to participate at Grand Championships.
